Description Confirmation bias is  very powerful because it taps into the natural tendency of the human mind to seek out and accept information that confirms their beliefs. People want to get general approval for their decisions. This is a natural human trait. It can be as simple as finding a confirmation that their personal choices in the car they drive or the holiday they take meets with the approval or confirmation of their peers. This is a very strong driver and it is easy to provide this in the online world.
